Hi!
Have been researching a pair of diamond stud earrings and am looking for a round 1 ct total pair. Came across your site and found the info very helpful and wanted to reach out to see if you may be able to help me narrow down my options. It seems like Blue Nile is likely a good bet if I wanted to buy online, but figured it couldn’t hurt to reach out just in case. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Here is the pair I have been looking at – Diamond Stud Earrings in 14k White Gold (1 ct. tw.)
Thanks so much in advance for your help!
We have fantastic experience with Blue Nile jewelry. Their preset earrings are beautiful and every time we’ve tested them, we were trully impressed. However, since you are after a 1tcw pair, I have a suggestion for you. You could opt for two individually picked 0.45ct stones (the size difference would not be noticeable) and get a better bang for your buck – the diamonds would be certified and you could make sure that they match in every single detail.

I found these two diamonds. They are a perfect fit and would be very brilliant as earrings. The high clarity grades are just a coincidence, they were the first eye-clean and well cut options I found.

Thanks very much for the below! It definitely appears to make sense to handpick things to get a higher quality diamond relative to the preset ones.
Quick question:
Is it worth considering a 0.5 ct pair to get the total weight to 1, or as you mentioned would it be hardly noticeable?
There’s basically no difference between a 1tcw and a 0.9tcw. Besides, the preset pair is more likely going to be 0.97tcw (check the description). That’s an absolutely negligible difference.
Was playing around with some of the filters and came across the below which is available sooner. Could you possibly take a look at this one?
That pair looks fantastic! It has a nice cut, no prominent inclusions and if the delivery time suits you, go for it!
Thanks! I submitted the order today.
That’s great news!
